Description
Next in line (after being Fancy for a while) is the King Llama!
The elements of the little pixel badge are all here: tilted crown and royal robe.
I decided to do something extra to make it even look more like a royal portrait, by adding a globus cruciger and sceptre, typical royal regalia.
The globe is also known as "orb and cross" and I replaced the cross with a little nod to DeviantArt, and I did the same with the sceptre.
For the hair I was inspired by Louis XIV-style wigs to give this llama a bit of a pompous look.
Looking at him now I wonder if he doesn't resemble a sheep too much, but apart from that I'm happy with this jovial, benevolent and easygoing King.
Long live the King!!
And then we have this:
This is Llama!!!!!
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Although I would've loved for him to be screaming "Sparta!" or "Llama!, I didn't think it'd be highly original, especially since I knew that this has already been done.
But I just had to use the "300" reference somehow because, you know,...reasons!
And then it hit me: why not use the movie title font and transform it into "5000", that way referring to the number of llamas you need to obtain this badass llama? And thus an idea was born.
Now I just had to make my Spartan look like Gerard Butler as Leonidas: no problem!
I searched for a lot of Gerard Butler/Leonidas pictures (which was time well spent ) to help me with little details and then I found the fugliest llama possible (thank you Google) that inspired me to finally create this.
I hope you all approve.
+ = fun with drawing!
(Come to think of it: you are technically looking at two Kings here. Let's call them Louis and Leo Llama )
Graphite pencil, water colours, watercolour pencils, fineliner.

I’m nearly at 5,000 and looking forward to my battle llama!
Your llama artworks are really excellent. But where’s the wizard??!
